The Achievement Standards Network™ (ASN™) provides access to machine-readable representations of learning objectives and curriculum standards. There are a host of resources off this site including the profile for serialization, core schema, and context file. Also there are a CEDS to ASN schema mapping, a set of ASN value vocabularies (schemas), and rubrics.

This open-source VC Admin Dashboard is a joint effort between the Digital Credential Consortium at MIT and the Learning Economy Foundation. It's designed to provide enterprises, schools, and organizations with a straightforward way to issue Verifiable Credentials in bulk.

The CASS (Competencies and Skills System) Project has multiple parts: the framework itself; globally unique competencies; competency claims in the form of assertions; relationships among/between competencies; the level of performance of the competency; and rollup rules to estimate competencies in the absence of direct evidence. CASS assertions predated Verifiable Credentials and are not able to be delivered as VCs at this time.

CASE is the 1EdTech standard that is a consistent format to exchange information about learning and education competencies, skills or academic standards in an open, machine-readable format.

The Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR) Standard has been designed to create, transmit, and render an individual's set of achievements, as issued by multiple learning providers, in a machine-readable format that can be curated into verifiable digital records of achievement.

Credential Management Level 1 describes an imperative API enabling a website to request a user’s credentials from a user agent, and to help the user agent correctly store user credentials for future use. User agents implementing that API prompt the user to select a way to handle a credential request, after which the user agent returns a credential to the originating site. This specification defines capabilities that enable third-party Web applications to handle credential requests and storage.

The Credential Transparency Description Language (CTDL) is a vocabulary of terms that are useful in making assertions about a Credential and its relationships to other entities.

This report chronicles the development of a tool that maps terms between different data standards. It helps answer questions like "What is the equivalent field in my standard to one in another standard?" The DESM Tool is software designed to support and sustain schema mapping projects based on the definitions for properties and controlled vocabularies. Decentralized identifiers (DIDs) are a new type of identifier that enables verifiable, decentralized digital identity. A DID refers to any subject (e.g., a person, organization, thing, data model, abstract entity, etc.) as determined by the controller of the DID. In contrast to typical, federated identifiers, DIDs have been designed so that they may be decoupled from centralized registries, identity providers, and certificate authorities.

The Digital Credentials Consortium was founded by leading universities with expertise in the design of verifiable digital credentials. Together, they are designing an infrastructure for digital credentials of academic achievement. This is the collection of documentation for their work.

This document is a standard set of recommended practices for ecosystem-scale technical providers related to issuing, holding, and presenting Learning and Employment Records (LERs) for education and employment achievements and related data. It makes extensive normative and declarative references to other existing standards, open-source projects, and shared services.

This open source repository contains the Learning Metadata Terms (LMT) Standard. LMT is a learning technologies interoperability standard that embraces the principles of metadata modularity, extensibility, refinement and multilingualism, including internationalization and localization.

All requirements of ISO 21001:2018 are generic and intended to be applicable to any organization that uses a curriculum to support the development of competence through teaching, learning or research, regardless of the type, size or method of delivery.

This document constitutes a deliverable as specified in the Department of Education contract “Develop Open Source Standard for Student Credential Wallet” between the Department of Education and MIT. The learner credential wallet specification is based on the draft W3C Universal Wallet interoperability specification and the draft Verifiable Credential Data Model.

The ELR Data model consists of two parts: - the learner’s path through different organizations - the variety of learning experiences - demonstrated competencies - conferred credentials- employment history The data model describes the different ELR data elements and allows the expression of rules for how schema elements are populated and how this data is stored within a Learner Profile for auditing purposes within an organization. The second part of the standard defines the transfer methods and application programming interface (API) for communicating learner records between services that adhere to the specification. This includes the format of requests and the expected responses.

The College Transcript PESC Approved Standard was developed for use by postsecondary educational institutions to send current and historical records of educational accomplishments and other significant information for students who are or have been enrolled at the sending institutions. The college transcript contains personal history and identifying information about the student, the current academic status, dates of attendance, courses completed with grades earned, degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded and selected test scores. This document specifies a universal cross-standards container for LERs to provide guidance to implement an LER using a W3C Verifiable Credential structure created in an open architecture for any given domain to use and extend depending on their use case. The specification is intended to provide a future-proof and flexible approach to a collection of LERs, allowing for any kind of learner record from early learning through employment learning experiences.

This document describes the Rich Skill Descriptor (RSD) class and how RSDs should be published for compatibility with services that process machine readable representations of skills and competencies. Each RSD is primarily identified by a canonical URL and consists of a skillStatement and supporting metadata to identify alignment to other skills or job categories.

This specification extends OpenID Connect with the concept of a Self-Issued OpenID Provider (Self-Issued OP), an OP controlled by the End-User. The Self-Issued OP does not itself assert identity information about this End-User. Instead the End-User becomes the issuer of identity information. Using Self-Issued OPs, End-Users can authenticate themselves with Self-Issued ID Tokens signed with keys under the End-User's control and present self-attested claims directly to the RPs.
